Time, Time, Time, See What's Become of Me

I love when someone else captures the essence of my boyz from behind their camera lens.  As The Mother, it seems like I am ALWAYS the one snapping the photos, preserving the memories.

When I first started blogging, back in late 2006, this was our Christmas card that year, courtesy of my fab photog friend Jodie:
Flash forward to now:  Almost 5 years and over 1,100 blog posts later.

These are my boyz today, playfully preserved in time by my friend Sue while on our Cape Cod vacation:

So to those of you Mommas with diapered babies, let me just say to you:  Squeeze them.  Snuggle them. Smell their baby soft heads.  For you will BLINK and they will be school-age.

This is so true, sweet friend. I do find that when I go and hover over their sleeping forms, blessed wisps of baby rise up, comforting the constant ache of watching them grow.

Blink again and they'll be in high school and college. OK, my guilty secret.... I keep a bottle of the baby wash I used in the shower and every now and then I give it a whiff and I am transported back to sweet baby days!
