Planters: The Power of the Peanut

You know those inspiring messages you always see?  Positivity, creativity, the glass is half-full-itivity?  Here's a cute one for you to watch, brought to you by Planters:
Don't worry.  This post isn't going to be about me hawking peanuts or telling you about how they have 7g of protein and 6 nutrients and you should eat.them.up.)

Normally, my Sis and I make fun of stuff like this.  Inspirational speeches, posters, coffee mugs, etc. etc. vomit vomit vomit.  Let's just say that we're more like Debby Downers realists.  Everything isn't always great.  The glass isn't always half full.  Sometimes that glass spills.  And drops on the floor and shatters.  And then you step on a shard of glass, you know?

HOWEVER.  I do believe that there's something to be said for surviving.  For surviving and thriving.  For believing in yourself.  For closing your eyes and knowing, knowing IT IS POSSIBLE.

Actually, my Sis is a perfect example of this.  Let's just say that the beginning of her 2013 wasn't stellar.  In the least.  It was a time of limbo, with that song playing in the background when you actually do limbo:  "How low can you go?  How low can you go?"  She was pretty low.

But these days?  She's soaring.  She looks great, feels great and is about to run her second half marathon this weekend after running one last weekend.

Close your eyes and believe.  So proud of you, Sis.

Preach it, Mr. Peanut.
