Thanks to The Motherhood and Chef Boyardee, I am excited to be participating in a virtual Cook-Along, called Fun With Flavors, this week on Thursday, November 8th from 2:00-2:30 EST!
Fun With Flavors will address the creative ways that you can ntroduce your picky children to new foods and encourage them to try that "yucky" cauliflower or that "gloppy" red sauce!
What works in my Trenches is what works in most households - Moms, instead of slaving over a hot stove while the children are underfoot, try creating your dinnertime recipes WITH the little rugrats! Yes, it's messier, and slower, and more of a hassle, but kids are more likely to eat food that they helped you cook!
And here is where I'm supposed to show you some joyous pictures of me creating fabulous recipes with my children. But you know what? I gotta keep it real...
It was just one of those nights. Eldest and I were going to make a recipe of his choice. But I got home late from work. Homework took a long time. And the boyz were hungry.
So what you see is what you get:
Beefaroni and homework
Ravioli and improper utensil usage
And you know what else? ANYTHING tastes better dipped in ketchup. Or ranch dressing. Or smothered in shredded Mexican cheese (that'd be my boyz' choice)...
For more tips and trickery, join us in this fun and informative Cook-Along.
To participate, just click this link, log into The Motherhood using your member ID (if you don't have one, it's easy and free to sign up), and then chat away in the text-based comments. We'll also have a video feed running, so you can also show up simply to watch!
I'll be there with theseother bloggers to co-host the class on Thursday. Hope you'll join us!
