The Circle of Life

Whenever I hear the words "circle of life", I totally picture this, don't you?

But I'm not really talking about a life/death circle, more of a *relationship* circle, per se...

(and yes, I asked permission before writing all this!)

Sooooo...my brother Dan, who is currently stationed in Colorado at Fort Carson and who I still think of as my little redheaded brother, the baby of our family, went and fell in love...

And then...

 GOT MARRIED!

...and gained a cute little son in the process.

I KNOW.

His family here in MA and NY were admittedly quite shocked.  But there are plans in the works for all of us to celebrate the marriage sometime next year in Colorado.

And honestly?  I think things change once you are in the armed forces and have served combat time in Afghanistan.  Priorities, outlook on life, goals.

I get it.  I'm happy for him.  For them.  I just wish they were closer than Colorado.  

And speaking of living closer...

My Sis and my Niece are just that.  Closer to us.  They have moved from Connecticut to Cambridge, MA.  Just the two of them.  A fresh start.  A new beginning.

And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
