5 Years of Blogging

5 years ago today, I sat down at my desktop computer in the basement, opened a blogspot account, and started this blog.  Back in September of 2006, my life looked like this:

What seems like just yesterday...

...happens in the blink of an eye, you guys

I have written 1,167 posts in that time.

I went from part-time employment at a law firm; to full-time employment commuting into Boston; to full-time employment in the legal department of a Fortune 500 company that is closer to home.

I potty-trained two children in that time.

I met Kelly Ripa.  Twice!

I attended Blissdom 2010 and Blissdom 2011.

I opened a Twitter account and created a Facebook fan page.

I wrote about PPD.  And running.

I went from a blogspot account to owning my own domain.  (But still haven't switched over to Wordpress.  Yet.)

I told NOBODY when I first started writing.  It was mine.  All mine.  A delicious little secret.  An outlet.

And now, 5 years later?

I have you.  And you.  And you.  Reading my words.  Identifying with me.
