Why I Might Not Read Your Blog

Just a little tip for you.

If you don't see anything wrong with this sign...

...then I probably don't read you're blog.

Heh.  Just sayin'.

(You guys, I drive by this sign almost every day.  And I have to avert my eyes because it hurts to look at it.)

Ahhh it would take all my willpower not to pull over and fix the sign myself.

I think I would have to get some black shoe polish and make a late night visit.

Nothing black duct tape couldn't fix.

That kind of stuff drives me nuts!

I can see forgetting an apostrophe in "it's". My phone has autospell and does that all the time. But there's no excuse for misusing "you're".

You know I'm tempted to say, "what? what?"

I seriously get offended by poor grammar. And if you're making a SIGN that you're going to hang in front of your business for potential customers!?

It's only getting worse with social networking. Just the other day, I tweeted this after reading a barely readable wall post on a Facebook business page: If it looks like your 13-year-old texting addict cousin taught you to spell, I can't take your business' Facebook or Twitter page seriously.

The joys of the English language ... and we are still trying to teach you how to use a knife and fork correctly too, ahem ...

See you quite soon!

Epic. We have a similar sign in my area. Except it says "we is open 7 days".
I'm surprised there aren't more accidents at that intersection...

Couldn't agree more!!

That's great... I pass a sign daily that reads, "EMISSION'S $20"

It kills me.

Ahahaha! OUCH. Wonder if they'll change it to "Short's" during the summer months? :)

You're a woman after my own heart. That shit drives me mental!

My Weight Watchers leader refers to the new system as "Points Plusses". Argh!

That sign is ATROCIOUS!

I know mine is not perfect with every single post, but it bothers me to read blogs, tweets, and Facebook posts that are completely dumbed down. One or two mistakes I can handle, after that I lose interest.

Ha... My OCD would force me to fix that for sure.

That is bad, no terrible.

There was a sign hanging over the ice cream machine at our local Chinese food place that said "it not work"

Okay, where is it, I have to fix it. HAVE TO.

We have one of those in our town, too, right alongside the highway: "Used Car's for Sale." Drives me nuts! I've actually corrected a flier for a house for sale and sent it back (anonymously) to the listing agent. She corrected it. :)

I wouldn't get my PANT'S shortened there if it were the last shop on earth.

Whenever I see something like this I always speculate why it is left like that.

Do they just not know? If that is the case maybe I should stop and tell them? Could everyone at the business possibly be oblivious to common grammar and syntax rules?

Maybe they know, but can't afford to get it fixed? Is it really that expensive to have a sign made? Does it bother the owner of the business as much as it bothers me? Maybe I should stop and offer him some suggestions on how to fix it?

Maybe he knows and just doesn't care? Maybe he thinks all his customers are fools anyway? If I stop and tell him the sign is wrong maybe he will get all crazy angry and do something really weird?

I definitely spend way too much time in the car.

Now that is a costly mistake! I hope their sewing skills are better than their grammar!

Stopping by from SITS. I shudder when I see things like this, too. I once saw a sign at a fast food restaurant that had halapeno on the board :)

I always always need pants taken up. I'm a shorty. Signs - like in public? and spelled wrong? make me batshit.

AHHH! I KNOW THAT SPOT! I used to drive by it every day when i worked out west! I've actually called after hours and let them know on their voicemail about the grammatical error.

No surprise, it wasn't changed.
