Boots, Bras and Booze, Oh My!

It's finally March!  Bring on the warm warmish not quite frigid temperatures, baby!  Cheers to Daylight Saving Time, cheers to March bonuses, cheers to the end of basketball season but not yet baseball season because all the snow isn't gonna melt until at least April...

Here's what I'm loving so far:

For my birthday, Hubby and the boyz got me gift certificates to TJMaxx and Marshalls.  So I randomly stopped in at Marshalls the other day and spied these beauties:

Red cowboy boots booties!  Franco Sarto brand.  On clearance for $54.00.  Come to Momma...

Hubby, of course, immediately made fun of me this morning when he saw me wearing them.  I think he may have even called me a dork.  But then, funnily enough, he came back and made a lewd comment about red boots and nakedness and well, you get the picture, and then he TOTALLY ADMITTED that they were actually pretty sexy.  Hi Mom and Dad!

Next, I am always on the lookout for workout apparel.

I happened upon this awesomeness at GapBody:

Fun and stylish sport bras that TOTALLY hide the belly fat with blouse-y draping.  Genius!  I bought black and purple for $15 apiece in the store.  (Why are online and in-store prices not consistent?  Annoying.) Anyway, Go. Get. One.

And finally,

I admittedly don't have much of a sophisticated wine palette.  I just like what I like - whether it's a $10 bottle of red or a $50 bottle.  I like my red wine a little bit chilled, and I hate any sort of oak-y aftertaste.

I have always, however, stayed away from the boxed wine, a/k/a Headache in a Box.

When I was home in NY, my parents had a box of Peter Vella in the fridge.
And I was desperate chose to partake.  I mixed it with a splash of diet ginger ale and let me just tell you, it was HEAVEN IN A DIXIE CUP WINE GLASS!  My own spritzah!  Yes, I know, I know, I could just as easily go all 1988 and simply get some Bartles & Jaymes wine coolers.  WHATEVER.

I love those work out tops! Thanks for showing them.
I thought of you earlier because of a prior post you did. Today my 4th grader woke up crying about not feeling well so I was all no problem, we'll stay home. But then I had to send a long email to my boss (who works all the time although she has historically been OK when I have a sick child) with some info on a project and I swear when I am home I work more on emails than when I am at work! plus I'd feel too guilty if I did not clean bathrooms and cook food and do lots of laundry. It never means for me that I will rest--total anxiety.

Boxed wine kicks ass! I think it gets a bad rap, but some of it is actually really good!

I'm so over this snow and ready for Spring too!
