100 Days Project

Remember when those annoying silly bands were all the rage?  And they were cheap and easy to buy?  And they were EXCELLENT bribery tools?

(Even though they sometimes cut off your child's circulation because he insisted on wearing about 200 at a time all up his little arm?)

Yeah, well, now what do you do with them?

Because the fad is over.

So we have bags and bags and bags of Silly Bands in our Trenches that the boyz don't wear anymore.

Enter the (ever annoying) 100 Days Project that all the teachers and schools seem to love, that most parents find irksome.

Ta dah!

A quick way to get rid of all those silly bands, 100 at a time!

I certainly don't consider myself the least bit creative, but I gotta say, I'm pretty proud of this one.

(Even though Middle and I were both totally covered in super glue by the time we were done getting all those little bastards to stick...)

One yr we did a huge world map on a 100 places we had been, the next yr we did 100 places in the US since I remembered the map had come free with the one the year before ;)
Now being the teacher I don't give projects like that - evah!

Somehow my kids missed the Silly Bands thing. I had parents asking me how many my kids had and I'd give them a blank look and say, "Huh? What's that?" I have no idea how we got so lucky!

This is a great idea! Much better than having them end up wrapping around the vacuum cleaner rotating brush and jamming it when you accidentally pick one up, or having a dog find one and having to take him to the vet...things that happen with other small stuff the kids have brought into our house.

Oh, that's smart! Tomorrow is my son's 100 day of school and he has to bring 100 of something. Never thought of silly bands!

Duh! Wish I had thought of that last week. We sent in a lego room built with 100 legos. Would have LOVED to get rid of the stupid silly bandz. Although, my kids are still wearing them. They didn't get the memo that the fad was over.

Genius! I've just been secretly throwing any that I find randomly stuck to the bottom of my feet away.

You are a genius! This is just so full of win! Rock on.

Excellent! We made 10 schools of fish with 10 in each school. Painstaking and exhausting!

LOL, we should have done that too.

Our 100 Days is on the 17th. We are doing dice...

We are random like that...

I am so jealous that you were able to get rid of some of your silly bandz. We seem to have an endless supply here that I find everytime I turn around even though they never wear them anymore!

My son had to find 100 things and measure them for last nights homework! He chose Legos.
The rest of the week it is something to do with 100. Tonight is "Who was the president 100 years ago?" He asked me if that was when the dinosaurs were.

Oh My Gah. This is perfection.
We have to decorate a t-shirt with 100 things. A freakin size 5T t-shirt.

I so need to get rid of the silly bandz. you're my hero.
