Army Mail

"Hi everyone!  This is a letter to let you all know that I am alive and well.  The days have consisted of paperwork, medical shots, shaved head, uniform issue, having about 3 full minutes to eat each meal, learning the soldier's creed and some Army cadences and bonding with guys from all over the country.  Tomorrow is when the "fun" starts; we will begin our Basic Combat Training - when the "fit hits the shan"!  I hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving.  Eat lots of mashed potatoes for me boys, ok?!  And be on your best behaviour...Christmas is right around the corner!

Love,
Dan

P.S.  Combat boots are sweet.  I only have 2 huuuuge blisters on both of my heels!

Busy at work writing letters back to Uncle Dan.

Someone can't do anything without his tongue sticking out...

My brother signed up for a your in afghan...so I can just imagine the excitement you all must get when you get a note in the mail. I think it's fantastic that you make it a family ordeal to all write letters. He must appreciate it so much!
