Scary, But Fine

If you follow me on Twitter, you already know that we had a little bit of a scare yesterday with Hubby.  He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with severe chest pains.  I got a call at work, dropped everything, and met the ambulance at the hospital.

Yeah.  It was as bad as it sounds.  When I saw them bringing him out of the ambulance, it was all I could do to keep my knees from buckling.  He looked horrible.  It was like I was in the middle of a bad dream.

Fortunately, after a mere 8 hour emergency room visit, they ruled out his heart.  It wasn't a cardiac event (and was probably a bad anxiety/panic attack).

Whew.

I love this man.  Who sends me picture texts like this when I am away with my mom, sister and niece in Maine for a Girls Weekend:

"I'm just sittin by the pool."

And  will do my very best to keep him by my side for a long, long, LONG time.

So glad he's OK!! The good news is that now with an echogram and all you know that his heart is good.
You guys would enjoy watching the video on You Tube called Dad's Life. You'll watch it about 4 times and laugh each time.
Take care!!!

OMG. I can't even imagine how petrified you must have been, Sarah!!! Something happening to my husband ranks right up there with something happening to my kids, so just reading this gave me chills. I'm so glad everyone is okay. What a relief!

So glad to know your husband is okay. And it's good it's not his heart.

I've actually had the same feeling he's had, but it hasn't been, since college, but it is the scariest thing in the world. Your chest is tight and breathing shallow. I'm asthmatic so with me I always thought I was having an asthma attack, not my heart, but nope, for me, it was anxiety, too.

What a scare! I'm so glad that he's okay. Anxiety can do crazy things. I hope he can take it easy - "out by the pool" for a few days. Great picture!

Sounds like you need to be sittin' by the pool. After a scare like that, you deserve it. Glad to hear he's ok and I sent up a prayer asking that it not happen again. God bless . . .

Am so glad that it wasn't cardiac and that you are all back home enjoying each other. Panic attacks suck sweaty chimp chestnuts, but I'd choose one over a heart attack any day.

Hugs to you and your hubby! Glad his heart is still bumpin & thumpin :)

Oh my gosh. I would be so scared! I can't imagine it actually.

I'm really glad he is fine!!! Give him his daily chill pill before he scares you into a cardiac event!

So glad to hear that he's fine! I was going to wade through my twitter feed to find out how things were and then thought, "duh, check the blog!" Been thinking of you!

Wow, I'm so glad he's ok. Bedrest only for a month! And maybe an occasional whiskey. Sending my best to you both.

Glad all ended well - now to be sure you aren't meeting like that again any time soon. Lunch during business hours is okay, not hospital visits!!

Wow. I'm sorry for your scary day.

Oddly enough, I was in the ER yesterday too for a family member's anxiety. Too bad we couldn't hold each other's hand and say everything's going to be ok.

Everything's going to be ok. I'm so glad his heart isn't the issue.

So so grateful that he's okay. Particularly after I saw the picture. My husband always sends me pics like that when I'm away--your husband is adorable, just like mine.
