Ladies Night

[I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night]

You know your evening was too much fun when you wake up in the morning to this on the floor (and NO, it's not puke, thankyouverymuch):
(Yes, Domino's pizza was ordered at 2:30am)

[I know that we'll have a ball
If we get down and go out
And just lose it all]

Girls Night was a blast.  We began celebrating in the early evening at the super schwanky Ames Hotel in Boston (Priceline.com FTW!)  with cocktails and munchies and the exchanging of birthday gifts.  (Out of the 6 of us, 4 of us have birthdays in either January, February or March.  And that particular night, one of us happened to be turning 39 29 again.)

There may or may not have been a little red wine spillage...
[Fill up my cup
Mazel tov]
But we'll never tell.

And then we headed out to dinner.  Where the laughter (and the beverages) flowed.

Ludacris was opening for the Black Eyed Peas, so we weren't in any rush.  I mean, we're hip and all, but not THAT hip.

By the time we arrived at the concert, we still had plenty of time to get to our seats.  Which was a good thing, because we needed a lot of time to climb...

...and climb

...and climb.
2nd row from the tippy top, baby!  Again, we're hip (and by using the word "hip", does that make me, uh, NOT hip?), but not silly enough to shell out hundreds and hundreds of dollars for concert tickets.  We're all mothers.  We're practical like that.  And yes, so what if we were in the nosebleed section?  We still danced and sang (and sweated) throughout the Peas' entire SPECTACULAR show. (Fergie?  Rocks.  That is all.)

[I got my money
Let's spend it up]

After the concert, we bid 2 of the girls adieu and then traipsed over to the Faneuil Hall area for more live music.  The area was in full swing, but gone are the days of our 20's, so we were not about to (1) wait in line to get in somewhere or (2) pay a cover charge.

So we found a bar with a mediocre live band and danced the night away!

And may have stopped into another bar on our way back to the hotel for (yet another drink and) more music - an 80's cover band this time.  How could we pass that up?!

[Look at her dancing]

I can only imagine what we looked and sounded like as the 4 of us crashed into our hotel at 2am.  *laughing, yet cringing slightly at the image*

[Let's paint the town
We'll shut it down]

[And then we'll do it again]

Here's to next time, ladies!

OMG Fanueil Hall...my first legal drink. Actually, my first illegal/fake ID drink too. Back in the dark ages.

You definitely had a blast. So good for the soul!

Isn't hip a 70s-kind-of-word? It always surprises me to hear moms say, "Cool." I think when you hit that mommy stage "hip" and "cool" automatically become dated. My boys just look at me like I have 10 eyes and 3 ears when I use words like that!

I'm glad you had a wonderful girls night out! Moms need girl time, too!

I love GNO's (and it's been WAY TOO LONG since my last one) but in NO WAY will I ever allow a friend to take pictures who I also know is a blogger. You're dangerous. Good picture selection tho. Looks like y'all had a great time. Congrats. We all need it!

What a great time! I LOVE the Black Eyed Peas. Jam out to them every day at the gym. Sadly, I have been to a concert in I can't even remember how long. I'm so old. Although I confess to having a crush on Ludacris, I don't want to hear his music. Such as it is.
