Blissdom '10 and How I Can't Explain What It Meant/Means to Me (Yet)

Blissdom Conference ~ Nashville ~ February 4-6 2010

I'm back!

And holy crap, my brain is FULL.

Full of new knowledge, new ideas, new inspiration.

And my heart?

Full of new friends, new connections, new inspiration.

(Are you gagging right now?  Please don't.  It's totally true.  I'm gushing.)

So I definitely need a few days to process before I start pontificating on the meaning of life blogging.

But I won't leave you hanging until then.  I took a few pics and there are TONS more (better ones) on the Blissdom '10 Flickr site
First of all, my roomie, Ms. Playgroupie herself!  (Babble Top 50, yo!) How cute (and like totally famous on the internet) is she?!  Lemme just say, we CLICKED immediately (like we knew we would) and it was like I found my long lost sister.  I miss her already.

And then there was her.  Miss Paula.  My Midwest twin.  We may or may not have done (lame drunken attempts at) cartwheels in the hotel lobby at an ungodly hour.  I'll never tell.  And besides that?  Paula totally resembles one of my IRL friends.  (Hi Jodie!)

Behold the utter loveliness of Tip Junkie, my good pal Tiffany from SITS and Sugar Jones!

When Harry Met Sarah:  Yes, I got a picture taken with him.  Yes, HE HAD HIS ARM AROUND ME.  YES, THE CAPS LOCK IS JUSTIFIABLE HERE.

Erin from The Vintage Pearl.  Please tell me you've visited her site?!  She takes amazing pictures and creates the most precious jewelry!

My roomie Jennifer and Amy (whom I've met before!) talking photog lingo (and blocking my view of Harry, dammit!)

My fellow seatmates on the flight home from Nashville:  The fabulous Audrey (of course we chatted about little boys) and and my new friend Jennifer

And then there was The Nap Warden.  We laughed together.  A lot.  She, Jennifer and I thought of extremely witty new tag lines for our blogs.  With only a little help from the alcohol we were drinking.

And Shannan who graciously let me crash the Ohio bloggers dinner.

And Rebecca who possesses my favorite blog header of late and who is quiet, yet sneakily hilarious.

And Angry Julie who yes, does get kinda angry when she can't have her Monster energy drink.

And Heather who is witty and sharp and kinda stalked me.

And Arianne, who captivates my soul.

And everyone else I met and haven't mentioned.  It was soooo lovely to meet you.  And you.  And you!  Truly.

Like I said, deep thoughts to come.  Pinky swear.

I had a great time. I'm glad that we finally "met" in real life. I swear I've been reading your blog soooo long too...

And why didn't we get any pics together, or did we?

Looks like you had a blast! Wish I was there, but after my WONDERFUL trip to SITScation last year I doubt Hubby will release me for another blogging related conference for many years to come. Unless I can drive to it. Like Bloggy Boot Camp. Where you will be that we can meet! Yeah for meeting people I shamelessly stalk on Twitter! I know it's still a month away but I really can't wait!

I am with you. I can't quite explain Blissdom and the experience to peeps who weren't there.

One of my favorite things about attending these conferences are the new friendships that come from them. So glad to have met you!

PS - Jennifer IS a great roomie!

Sarah-I am so truly happy to have ended my trip meeting, talking and being inspired by your words and genuine soul. I look forward to more tweets, commenting, and IRL adventures.

I honestly didn't know much about Blissdom before and now I am so sad that I didn't go. As if my husband would have gone along with the idea even if I had decided to go. Maybe next year.

In the meantime, there's Boot Camp in a couple of weeks! Can't wait to meet you! Are you coming in Friday night?

I may or may not have pictures of certain people attempting those cartwheels.

I had a BLAST with you (and at Blissdom), but mostly with you.

I wish we could have hung out a little longer, but you're the bomb, don't you ever forget it.

It was an incredible time! I, too, am not yet capable of processing all of the wonderfulness that was Blissdom.

Blissdom lesson #435: Not all bloggers are terrified introverts, such as myself. Who knew?

It was so great to meet you. I hope our paths will cross again...

Thank you for sharing pictures! I wasn't able to go this year, but all of you lovely ladies who did have done such a beautiful job recapping!

What a great recap - enjoyed all of the pictures. It truly was such a fun time, wasn't it? And I bonded with my roomie too - like we were supposed to meet them, you know?

Thanks for linking up!
