Making (and then modeling) turkey drumstick hats? Done!
Running a 5 mile road race? Done! (We did it in almost exactly 50 minutes - 10 minute mile pace!)
Thanksgiving dinner with 18 people? Done! (My meager contributions were the appetizers and a green bean casserole and uh, heating the brown and serve rolls. But hey, I hosted.)
Ordering my Christmas cards? Done!
Black Friday shopping? Done! (6 of us brave souls began our sojourn at 5am. 3 of us were pros--me, my Mom and my Sis--while the other 3 girls were Black Friday virgins. We did our part to stimulate--heh--the economy and were home before noon.)
Introducing my mother to her first espresso martini? Done!
Frosting (and licking) Christmas cookies? Done!
Decorating the Trenches for Christmas? Done!
NOT learning how to knit? Done! (Watching my Mom try to teach my Sis and Niece how to knit was kinda like watching paint dry. Only less exciting.)
So the company is gone, the Trenches are clean and decorated, and the Christmas shopping is (practically) done. Bring on December! (Don't forget about my 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways starting this week!)
[Disclaimer: My Mom? You know her and love her as Granny-911. She did the turkey cupcakes, drumstick hats and cookie decorating with the boyz. I? Merely took pictures
and cringed at the mess. C'mon - you all should know me by now - I'm soooo not that crafty/organized/patient (take your pick).]
