What Did the Momma Tomato Say to the Baby Tomato?

(Clearly we have a problem.)

(It's not like they are even REGULAR size.  They are the ginormous BJ's kind.)

(I'm thinking that we're not gonna run out of ketchup in the Trenches until 2012.)

What are you stockpiling these days?

30-Day Shred blog is here.  Check us out!

Hey!  Ketchup is a diet food, right?

LOL! I tend to stockpile chicken broth. And my sister is a total gum hoarder - she has an entire drawer of various mint-flavored gum. :)

We tend to accumulate a gazillion packages of Lipton noodles/rice & sauce side items.

And spaghetti sauce.

Both always seem to be on sale 10 for $10 and Hubby insists you have to get 10.

We tend to inadvertently build a stockpile of those Carolina Rices.... the yellow rice in the tall skinny foil packets. I always get coupons for them and use them when they are on sale, and we shop at Shaw's so we get really good sales, and we always grab those 10 for $10 deals too LOL, we like the rice but don't eat it faster than we accumulate it, haha...

Right now though we have a TON of canned apple sauce cause my friend goes to the food pantry and always winds up with it and she won't use it, lol

We used to go through tons of ketchup. Now it is pancake syrup. I grab it whenever it is on sale. And mayonaise.

I think that my pantry has the same amount of ketsup in it too.

Peanut butter. My cabinet may look like that for a day or two but we go through it like I've never seen!

Juice boxes... Steve buys 4 cases a week even if we dont need it... looks like we will be fine incase of a nuclear war or major crisis!!

Ha! I always forget that we already HAVE syrup. There's got to be 3 or 4 bottles in the cabinet right now.

We don't have that much stockpiled up, but we don't go without ketchup EVER. If we would ever be out (which we aren't) it would mean an emergent trip to the grocery store THAT minute. We like our ketchup round these parts.

This generally happens to me when I'm at the store and try to remember whether we have a condiment or not. 90% of the time I should assume I do - and in fact, assume that I have five bottles of it since I've asked myself the same question on numerous shopping trips... Hilarious.

Can I borrow some ketchup?

I am not shopping until we eat through our pantry and freezer. We are only buying produce - and in limited quantities. If you can believe it, we ran out of ketchup! It's on my list right now. Too bad you don't live down the street because I could barter several cans of cream of chicken soup for one of your ketchup containers.

For me it's mustard, I mean seriously does anyone really need 4 jars of mustard in their fridge? Thanks for admitting this! ha

LOL - when my husband does the shopping, he tends to stockpile weird stuff. Ketchup, yep. Italian dressing. Grape juice.

We could participate in a lock-in for a few months and survive on our pantry items.

I have about 15 boxes of jello in my pantry right now. And all in flavors we don't even like. Nice, huh?

I just bought a million boxes of the same Kellogs Fruit & Granola cereal because they're on sale for $1 each. We also have a ketchup "issue" at our house: we have two gigantic bottles that are honestly heavy to lift. So sad.
