Well, it happened to us.
Something I never expected to happen.
A few Sunday mornings ago.
It just took me until now to stop blushing (and shuddering) (and thinking about future therapy bills).
So, yes, that fateful Sunday morning. Hubby and I were...uh...shall we say..."not sleeping".
All 3 of the boyz were downstairs. Watching TV. So we thought. Certainly there was no need to get up and shut the bedroom door, right?
[Famous Last Words.]
Next thing I know, 4 year old Baby is standing by the side of our bed, all Linus-like holding his blanket and sucking on his thumb, his brown doe eyes gazing at us. (Thankfully we were fully covered by our duvet.)
OHCRAP OHCRAP OHCRAP.
"Hi Momma. Hi Dada. Can I get a snuggle in da bed wif you?"
"No buddy. Why don't you go back downstairs. We'll be right down, okay?" (Hubby spoke because I was trying wayyy too hard to cover up my snorting and giggling.)
And off Baby went, shuffling in his too-long pj pants back down the stairs...
So here's a Public Service Announcement from my Trenches to yours: It's probably best to lock your bedroom door if you're "not sleeping". Yeah.
Has this ever happened to you? Please tell me we're not the only ones...
