The Revolving Door

Dear fellow employees:

It's a known fact that we all have to go through revolving doors to get to our offices.

How about instead of waiting until you're standing right in front of the card scanner, blocking it from anyone else's use, you use a little MENTAL FORESIGHT and have your employee ID available and ready beforehand?

Also, here's another tip:

When someone scans their card, the light turns green and the doors begin to move. But guess what??? YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THAT PERSON IS ALL THE WAY THROUGH BEFORE YOU CAN SCAN YOUR CARD AND PROCEED!

So stop glaring at me from the other side of the door if you're waiting to go the opposite direction and you think I've "budged ahead" of you by immediately following the person who just went. You are free to SCAN and WALK at any time.

Novel concept, I know.

Morons.

Yours in maximizing efficiency and productivity, (*snicker*)
Sarah

omg so you get annoyed each and every work day. Me too. I am lucky that I have a short drive to work but I grumble at everyone. And I used to work at a job with a really really loud person near me. I'd have to get up and walk away.

Could you please write a Remedial Rotary Negotiating post next?

Maybe it's something about the circularity that throws people off.

Some people are simply idiotic. They can't help it.

Like the lady I encountered at Kroger awhile back who parked her cart in the middle of the aisle and proceeded to chat on her cell phone.

When will they learn?

We have blogs now!!

LOL! That's very typical, isn't it? I haven't had to do the revolving door... thanks goodness... I hate those things! BUT I am the same way with traffic on the freeway. WHY can't each person take a turn when two lanes merge???? Is it really that hard a concept???
