Last night, I met up with some girlfriends for drinks and apps at The Cheesecake Factory. (Cheesecake is dairy, right? And we all know that dairy is GOOD FOR YOU.)
Then we headed to see Dena Blizzard.
Excerpts from her program brochure:
"I wrote this show over the course of two years while raising two kids, giving birth to a third and doing stand-up in the evenings. Most days, I feel crazy. I feel like at any moment someone will figure out that I have no idea what I'm doing, that I yell too much and I'll never see my kids again. Luckily for me, I have great family and friends - family that helps out whenever I'm about to have a breakdown and friends to pick me up after I do.
After talking with some girlfriends I was happy to find out that I'M NOT CRAZY! We all share the same experiences of days filled with Power Rangers and poop. We all lament the days of being twenty with boobs that stood up on their own and, at times, got us a free drink. Now, while loving our husbands dearly, we're looking at them some days and wondering how they ever got us to have sex with them!"
Let me just tell you, the show? Was HILARIOUS!
Imagine a roomful of mothers cackling and nodding their heads in agreement - throughout the entire performance!
My sides hurt from laughing. My face muscles hurt from grinning.
And my heart was full from bonding with my girlfriends.
I highly recommend checking to see if Dena will be performing in your area.
