Our Trampoline

Yesterday afternoon, I did something I rarely do.

Usually, I'm inside, picking up/cleaning/baking/blogging. Hearing the laughter from afar. Catching glimpses from the sunroom as I scurry to GET STUFF DONE on the weekends.

Yesterday afternoon, after I placed a loaf of banana bread in the oven to bake, I turned off the laptop and put down the dust rag.

And joined my boyz on the trampoline in our backyard.
Honestly? Jumping on that thing made me feel 20 years younger! (Aside from the fact that 3 pregnancies certainly didn't strengthen my bladder any. *ahem*)

We bounced. We giggled. We played games.

And we took pictures:

But most importantly?

Yesterday afternoon, I savored.
And it was delicious.

Oh! the quote on the end, after all those lovely photos, is really heart breaking and true. Good for you for unplugging and getting out there with your boys. I always think that is the stuff they'll remember, not whether or not the kitchen sink shined.

I hear ya about the bladder - that usually keeps me off our trampoline. I'm glad the weather here in the northeast is finally getting bearable to be outside for a good amount of playtime.

plenty more to come! right?!!!

Nice job! Want to come to my house to bake banana bread? I have 3 rotten bananas I've been staring at for days with good intentions.

We were outside all day and the awesome smell of dirt followed us like Schulz's Pig-Pen. Last night DH asked our son if he had a good day and he said, "I always have a good day." Exactly what a Mom wants to hear!

That last picture is really a beautiful thing.

That is so awesome!! When you take time out to do something like that with the kids, you're making memories that you (and they) will never forget! I just love that last picture, it couldn't be more perfect!

That quote at the bottom really hit me hard today!! You know I would rather my son have memories of me having fun with him, and have come to realize a perfectly clean house is totally overrated for right now!
Oh and I feel the "pain" of the bladder issues and I've only had one!

Awwww, so nice and such beautiful pics! We are planning on getting ($$ permitting of course!) a trampoline for our three boys this summer - I can't wait until the snow melts from my backyard enough to actually contemplate it!

I think the quote at the end there is going to make me cry.

I'm glad you all had such a good time together!

What is it about trampolines that make us feel so childlike and happy?

Hey friend, great pictures. The boys probably loved having you out there. Your close up picture for some reason made me think of the YaYa Sisterhood movie.

Boy, your boyz look joyful! A lot of the time when I decide to roll up my sleeves and join my kids, it ends in frustration on all sides. But obviously you were willing to do more than pretend -- jumping on a trampoline! Well done. Now cut yourself a guilt-free slice of banana bread.

Thanks for the lovely quote, too.

When you said trampoline, the first word that came to my mind was pee. LOL How sad is that?

I'm officially inspired to quit trying to fit everything into my too-short day. It's moments like these that really matter most in life, right?

Beautiful mom, handsome boys... what a treasure!

I did this a few weeks ago with Bubba. It was so much fun. I laughed so hard. (and I hear you on the bladder thing, not something I thought about before getting on the trampoline!) I promised to do it more often. And I intend to keep that promise. :)

The quote at the end is amazing! I totally think I am going to have to use that one. Thank you for showing us such a beautiful afternoon with your babies;)

And yes!!! {{ahem}} After four pregnancies, our trampoline lets me know how little control I really DO have of all bodily functions, LOL!
