Why You Should Never Shop Alone

So...

Have you ever been at a store, in the dressing room, trying on dresses for an upcoming April wedding because the only two dresses you have in your closet are a size 6 and a size 12 stuff on...

And you find it's impossible to reach that back zipper so you can't zip it up all the way.

But then you find you can't zip it back down either.

So you're essentially STUCK in a dress.

You try lifting it over your head.

And then you almost get it STUCK AGAIN right above your chest but below your armpits.

Desperate, you contort your body in ways you never deemed possible, reaching around for that mother 'effin zipper. Sweating and cursing all the while.

No? This has never happened to you?

Oh.

Nevermind then. Carry on.

Yes, I have heard thread pop at times and hurt my self other times! I hate trying things on and am one to just take it home and hopefully return it (more like leave it in my closet with tags on it until I donate it)!

That's why I heart Dillards and their little doorbells in the dressing room!

This has soooo happened to me! Did you hear a little "r-r-r-ip" too when you tried to get that damn thing over your head? Not a big enough rip to actually SHOW, but enough that you know the seams have been stretched beyond their normal limits. Yeah, been there too. The fact that I'm claustrophobic doesn't help, either.

I've got to make a trip out to Boston sometime soon. We've just gotta meet, for reals. Has to be done.

I was so there just a few weeks ago! I tried on a dress that was on a size 8 hanger but the actual size of the dress was a 0! I was so stuck in that dress that I seriously thought I was going to have to call my husband! I was so stuck in that dress it was scary!

I have been stuck in things. And there is never, ever a saleslady there to help.

No, never, and that rip was there when I took it into the dressing room.

Oh my gosh, I've done this a million times.

One time, I had to ask a sales associate to help me out. Just me and my underwear out in the open with a stranger tugging to get a dress over my head. AWESOME.

OMG Was that YOU in the dressing room next to me? I heard all sorts of banging going on over there. I wasn't sure if you had taken a male companion in there with you, or if you thought you were in the bathroom or if you were fighting with a pig... but I heard the grunting and it was quite obnoxious.

Being single helps me not panic in those situations; but yes, I hate it when that happens.

I found a creative way to get out of a dress at home last week that I was having trouble unzipping, and I did no damage to the dress.

Wondering what Rebecca Jill's creative way is.

Happened the other day with a shirt that I think had negative stretch in it. I pulled a muscle in my neck trying to get the dang thing off. Still hurts.

I'm with Jenn. And then I ask for a discount. I mean, where do they get off selling such ill fitting dresses?
