My Monday Playdate

Dear Mrs. Chicky,

Thank you so much for inviting me and my mom over to your new house. I'm very sorry that I channeled Linda Blair in the Exorcist upon my arrival, much to my mother's mortification. You see, my mother usually works Monday through Friday. So today, when I woke up and she was still there, gabbing excitedly about being home for the next two days and all the THINGS we were gonna do? Well, it threw me off. And I'm very much a child of routine (kinda like my Dad).

On the way to your house, I was MAD because she wouldn't take me to Dunkin Donuts (she was muttering something about me "hardly needing any more sugar" which is silly because I? LOVE SUGAR and how it makes me all crazy acting.)

And then? I couldn't remember Chicky Baby, even though we've had a few playdates in the past, so I wasn't really sure about where exactly we were GOING and what we were gonna DO once we got to your house.

Plus - I figure that while I have my mom around - I need to test her limits, you know?

So, as you witnessed, I pulled a major FREAK OUT. Impressive, wasn't it? (I've quite mastered the "limp squirmy" body position while being held, if I do say so myself.)

But eventually, I calmed down. I figured there would be something in it for me if I regained control of my emotions. And I was right. COOKIES and TOYS! And cute little CC to pet!

Plus, Chicky is quite fetching and was a wonderful hostess. I think we make a pretty cute couple:

Oh, and my mom wants me to remind you that you and she still need to go out for a drink.
A drink of milk?

Didn't you just leave here five minutes ago? Jeez, you work fast.

Freak out? I don't remember any freak out. ;) He more than made up for it by being so damn adorable. And I can't believe we forgot to talk about that drink! *slaps head* You didn't happen to see my brain in the driveway, did you?

Tell your Baby that Chicky is quite smitten. We'll have to work on that arranged marriage thing.

I love the second picture - he looks like he should have a bubble over his head that says...." oh yeah, she wants me"!

How cute are they together!?

I just love it when my children do me proud. That'll teach you not to stop at Dunks.
