Winter Sickness Woes

Today we are merely halfway through the first month of the new year, and already in the Trenches?

2 separate visits to the pediatrician;

1 ear infection, plus

1 sinus infection (Eldest);

1 case of bronchitis (Baby);

2 prescriptions for antibiotics;

15 days worth of antibiotics to be administered;

1,247 tissues used, along with 397 admonitions to USE A TISSUE, NOT YOUR SLEEVE;

2,674 warnings to COVER YOUR MOUTH WHEN YOU COUGH;

16 days waited until taking Baby to the doctor (he was sleeping FINE and it just seemed to be a lagging headcold); thus causing

4,000,000 intense feelings of Mommy Guilt; and

1 sinking feeling that Middle child is bound to catch something this month...

*sigh*

1,247 tissues used? Wow. My kids find it 100% impossible to put a tissue in the garbage after they use it. Actually, so does hubby. I hope you're not wading in them like I would be. And hope everyone who's sick gets better and everyone who's not sick can stay that way.

I hope your household has a speedy recovery - there is nothing worse than sick children. I myself just brought my 4 year old to the doc's today - a mysterious rash - turned out to be fifth disease! now that it is a rash, she is no longer contageous...oh great - that puts my mind at ease right? - what about the other two kids - I hope they don't bloom out with rashes too.

We have been disgustingly healthy since The Big Puke-fest, before Christmas.

I just jinxed us, didn't i?

Wow! Not off to a good start, maybe you'll get it all out of the way and the rest of the year will be full of healthy kids! Probably not likely though, huh?

I love that picture btw, our pediatrician has it hanging in his office.

We leave for Disney World in 15 days. Chance of Amoxicillin taking the trip with us: better than 50/50.

Hope everyone heals...

Pardon my bluntness, but keep that crap over there, okay? Seriously.

I'm so sorry. But I'm with Judy!

My list would also include that 157,000 Popsicles and ice cream that we've gone through in the last week. Hope your family feels better soon.
