On the seventh day of Christmas,
(Damn, it's getting hard to do these number things with the prizes. 7 (+18) is lame, I know.)
Today's Day 7 Giveaway is a copy of Rebecca Woolf's memoir. Do you know her? (This) Girl's Gone Child is one of the very first blogs I started reading, and I was hooked. I am in awe of her mad writing skillz. You won't be disappointed, pinky-swear. Here's a few snippets I particularly found myself shaking my head in agreement with:
"Becoming a mother means splitting yourself in two. Squeezing new life from between two walls and becoming half mother, half self. But I believe there is room enough in every woman for passion and work and dreams and her children, for everything she wants with room for dessert. Life is long."
"Parenthood is not amnesia. One doesn't wake up and forget where she has come from or who she is. Once upon a time, none of us were parents, and that matters for something...Bringing a child into the world shouldn't mean locking ourselves out of our own. Nothing will be lost on those who explore their passions limitlessly. Parenting, like life, is about choice."
*RULE: YOU MUST HAVE A BLOG!* So if (and ONLY if) you are a fellow blogger, leave a comment below to be entered to win. Drawing for all 12 Giveaways will be held on December 13th and winners will be notified via e-mail.
