Miscellaneous Monday

Today is the last full day to leave a comment on my review blog to win one of two carbon monoxide/smoke detector alarms that I'm giving away!

In other news, my summer TV obsession watching can resume now that this is on again! (My mom and I watched together last night and already, we are hooked. Sad. But true.)

Didja ever catch a glimpse of your reflection as you were strolling down the street? And were horrified by what you saw? Yeah, that happened to me this morning. The food diary begins today.

And finally, I leave you with this:

Middle: Mom, what color is your bathing suit?
Me: It's black.
Middle: But is it light black or dark black?
Me: It's BLACK!

That's a pretty fine distinction for a boy to make!

I saw myself on video at Christmas time and was horrified. I vowed to start a diet after Valentine's Day and I did. I have since lost 50 lbs! Totally stoked about it...but I have a bit more to lose before I am willing to be on video again!

Oh yes. This happens to me,too.

I am having a really hard time getting myself in the mindset to work out. I have the tools. I just don't have the drive.

Yeah. I started food journaling today too. Did very well until around 4PM when I threw it out so I didn't have to journal half a pound of potato chips. Sigh.

There's always tomorrow.

I am excited about Big Brother too. IT's such a trashy show BUT I CANT HELP MYSELF.

And please tell dear middle, that since he is male he may not realize this but light black is not actually called black anymore. It's gray. :)

Funny post.

You know what they say: Everything is just shades of black. No, wait, that's not right.

I usually think, "Eww, who's that?" and then realize that, alas, it's me.

Let me know how the food diary is working for you...

The reflection thing is happening to me a LOT lately. I'm not sure I'm brave enough for the food diary though. Not just yet.

Thanks for coming over today to tell me the great news! I am SO excited!

How's this for a conversation on Black:

Oldest: Mommy, what color is my hair?
Me: Dark Brown honey.
Oldest: The kids at school say its light black.
