So Ya Had a Bad Day...

The glass isn't half empty today, folks...it's more like 3/4 empty because it has spilled all over and made a sticky wet mess.

So ya had a bad day...

Lemme tell you: 2 weeks ago today, I was in a car accident. And ever since, the aftermath of this incident has been nothing but a headache. Scratch that. More like a raging migraine.

So here's where we are today...(oh, and have I mentioned that this happened 2 weeks ago??)

Our car is in the shop. And will continue to be for at least 4 weeks. The garage can't even look at it until next Monday. The preliminary appraisal of damage was $1,200. And that was just the exterior damage.

The other woman's insurance company, which let's say sounds like Shliberty Schmutual, has been less than cooperative.

Stalling. Not returning phone calls. Making empty promises. Pretty much giving me the runaround.

And, sad to say, our insurance company, Who Shall Remain Nameless, hasn't been much better.

So what all this has amounted to is a big steaming pile of....hassle.

With no end in sight.

Our biggest mistake in all this? We don't have car rental insurance. Do you? If not, go get yourself that coverage. NOW. Take it from me.

I think that all the major credit cards automatically give you some sort of rental car coverage!

Hang in there!

I saved a lot of money by switching to Geico. Seriously and as a result was able to add the rental car thing.

Ugh, what a mess!
We had to rent car a few years ago for some body repair work but luckily it only took two days.

Thinking we should get car rental insurance now...

Hope things get resolved soon!

I'm getting good with insurance companies. Want me to threaten them?

ARGHHHHH! This has happened to me (in not such a dramatic, or drastic, rather, manner) and I totally hear you. It is awful! And all the worse because it is NOT FAIR - you didn't DO anything!!!

When we got married, we combined what we could and went with Andy's insurance company. Didn't so much have the rental coverage, which is like, $25.00 a year! Of course we only found this out following an accident.

Um, yeah, now we have my insurance with rental.

I'm sorry for your super-pain in the ass.
