So yeah, the fruit flush...
I ended up losing 2-1/2 pounds in the past 3 days. I'm sure it's a combo of water weight and my cycle, but actually, since I started counting calories, I've lost 8 pounds! (Mostly in back fat. That's the only place I notice a difference.) So I probably won't do the fruit flush diet again unless I'm desperate for a quick fix. Writing down my calories and keeping it between 1,000-1,200 has been what has really worked. But the main thing is? I feel better. Sis and I are signing up for a 15K race (9.3 miles) in the beginning of April. That will surely start our running season off with a
I'm getting my haircut and colored tomorrow. Wiping out the grays and hoping for something CUTE. For some reason, my hairdresser (who is really awesome and fun and hip and stylish) insists on long layers for me. Which I get. Because my head? Is exceptionally small. I'm not kidding. I can wear Eldest's ball caps. Comfortably. So I understand that my hair needs layers to frame my small mug. However? Half the time, I feel like I have a mullet. NOT CUTE. So I need to figure out how to gently break it to my girl that she needs to come up with something new for me--stat. So we'll see how THAT goes...
And then tomorrow afternoon,
And then Sunday there's a big Superbowl Bash in the Trenches! We only throw a party when the Patriots are in the Superbowl. Meaning this will be our fourth shindig since 2001. Lots of food, booze and, oh yeah, children. (Apparently no one gave a lesson on birth control to the alumni of Hubby's college alma mater, because everyone has multiple children.)
And then (how many times can I type "and then?") next Friday is my birthday. Hubby and I are staying in Boston for two nights. We have birthday dinner reservations here. Needless to say, I will NOT be counting calories that weekend...and I'm hoping to get this new bedding as a birthday present (we've had the same bedding since we got married almost 9 years ago. It's time, right?) So Pottery Barn gift certificates are always welcome here.
Here's to February!
