Deep Question For a Saturday Night

Why is it---

That I cannot for the life of me remember to take my multivitamin/fill a prescription/switch the laundry/floss/run the dishwasher/etc., etc., etc...

Yet, no matter where or when I hear it, I can still remember every single word to Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn"?

(Yep, it happened to be on the radio today and both Hubby and I were belting it out, much to the amusement of the boyz. We're just a regular Sonny and Cher, he and I.)

My oldest just commented the other day that I know ALL the words to EVERY song that comes on the radio...I can't argue with that. But, you are right why can't we remember the simplest tasks? HMMMM. Couldn't be my age. Could it?

Those 80's classics will never leave you!! Same with me - I am so bad at picking up necessary medicine at the drug store, but I remember all the words to hair band songs!!

Two reasons:

1. Your mental hard drive is full; and

2. That song kicks ASS.

That's to funny. I love the 80's music. Right now all I can seem to remember is all the word to the songs in the Backyardigan cartoons. My husband cracks up as I sing along while Bubbie's watches and I make dinner.

I do think Poisin was one of my favorite bands. I thought Brett Michaels was so hot and I longed for him - amazing how a few years can change you. Everytime I hear one of their songs now, I turn it up and sing along - in essence, it's the same as it used to be minus my longing for mr. michaels!

BWHAHAHA!!!! So glad someone else does this. My hubby and I heard Mr. Roboto by Styx on the radio not long ago and belted at the top of our lungs. My girls (11 and 8) were mortified!
