Cursed

Did I say "jinxed"? Yeah, well, I meant cursed.

Ugh.

Thursday, the day after the car accident, I was a bit sore on the left side of my lower back, but otherwise felt fine. Eldest stayed home from school because his temp was still 100, but my Sis (who was watching the boyz that day) said that by noon he was bouncing off the walls and soooo needed to be in school.

Around 3:30 at work, suddenly my head felt 10 times its size. And I continued to feel worse as the day (and night) progressed.

Woke up Friday morning all feverish (temp of 103) and congested. Was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection and am now on a double dosage of Augmentin (an antibiotic, a side effect of which is diarrhea...)

Needless to say, I've been holed up in the Trenches since my doctor appointment on Friday.

These past few days? The glass is definitely half three-quarters empty.

Except for my weight. I'm down 5 pounds. Oh, the irony.

Accident update: The appraiser is coming tomorrow to look at the car, which we now suspect has more damage than we originally thought. Hubby thinks that the front left tire was hit pretty good, screwing up the steering and alignment.

In the meantime, we have borrowed Hubby's grandma's car (she winters in Arizona). We are expecting to hear from Bitch Lady's insurance this week and will insist on them paying for a suitable (meaning fits 3 car seats) rental vehicle for us.

Hey? Can I ask a favor? Puh-leeze remind me to never blow sunshine out my ass ever again on this blog.

Speaking of which, my antibiotic is uh....working. Bye.

Uggh. I HATE Augmentin. It gives me a YI everytime. But it always clears up the original problem!

Feel better soon.

Oh, sweetheart. I'm so sorry. That's too much at once. Feel better as soon as possible, OK?

Oh, man! The problem with car accidents is they just seem to go on and on and on in terms of annoyances don't they? Damn! Hm... kinda like colds, huh? I'm so sorry - hope everything is better on both fronts soon!

Damn, that's a lot of crap to have to deal with all at once. I hope things improve soon!

Did you break a mirror in 2008 too? Hello, fever of 103 as an adult? You were almost at body on ice pack stage. Yikes! Hope the black cloud lifts this week. MB

Something like this happened to me: my new (!) car got hit in the 'perfect' way that bent the axle and our insurance company ended up paying us for it. I got a cooler car in the end, but what a pain. I mean, I had JUST gotten the car.

Hope things turn around for you. SOON!
