Play that Funky Music

"Nothing else will ever make you as happy or as sad, as proud or as tired, as motherhood."
--author Elia Parsons

To that, I say, Amen.

Been in a bit of a funk around here.

Partly motherhood, partly PMS, partly lack of nutrition and exercise (why, oh why, can't I stay motivated??), partly career, partly (lack of) money...

But pretty much life in general.

*sigh*

My dear, I feel your pain. Dig out your nail polish and give yourself a little pedicure.

Yep.
I shall say the one thing that always makes me roll my eyes, Hang in There!! Like we have a choice?? Sometimes I have to mother minute to minute cause if I figure I have to keep this up for another 20 or so years I will lose it.

Ok lainey-painy. I am not dissin you about "hang in there." In my circle it is said with a certain air that drives me wild. Condescension. I posted before I even saw yours and well I think lainey-painy is one of the cutest names I've ever heard. Shutting up.

That quote is divine. Lainey-Paney is right, of course, things change. Next week -- maybe sooner -- it will all seem worth it. Okay, it always seems worth it, but it will seem balanced.

You might be feeling low but you're still managing to post. I call that a result.

I agree with Potty Mummy. You go girl for posting!! Come on... 3 boys... nonstop. Gee, I wonder why you are feeling this way!! Just think Halloween is around the corner and we'll be up nonstop with sugar infested kids! :)

I feel that way, too. It's the same things you mentioned: no exercise, bad eating, blah blah blah.
Hang in there and I will too.

Oh yeah. It can really kick your butt sometimes. I have one less boy than you and I can sometimes barely hold it together. Three boys? You need a bubblebath girlfriend. With the door locked.

Oh you. I am right there with ya in the trenches tonight. Someone shoot me or give me lots of wine.

I hope this funk passes quickly for you. If not. Go for the wine.

It's lousy, you're exhausted, we're in that not yet winter, too warm for fall and not warm enough for summer netherworld. It'd bring anyone down, let alone a kick ass mom and awesome wife and friend. Tomorrow is Friday...maybe it'll be better.
