Sarah's (Non) Sense of Style

Oh hi! Welcome to the Trenches!

What's that? You're from the Parent Bloggers Network? And you want to check out my clothes closet?

Umm...okay, sure. Right this way.

Please ignore the wild monkeys. I usually keep them more contained occupied with educational stimulation, but you caught me as I was busy blogging cleaning.

And if you wouldn't mind just stepping over the decapitated Barbie...
Wait! Is that lead oozing out of her neck?

Moving on.

Okay, here we are. My closet. Sorry it's not neat and organized.

What? Yes, I do have quite a shoe fetish few pairs of shoes.

The rest of my wardrobe? Here are my shirts:

Uh. Yeah. Wow. They're all plain. And Mom-ish boring. And so not stylish. I guess I never realized that before. However, I do acknowledge an aversion to horizontal stripes.

What's this you're handing me? Oh, it's the Harper Collins' Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia.

Is that a hint?
******************************
Note to self: Step away from the drab! Embrace patterns! (Grudgingly) embrace stripes!

I know, I'll buy a whole new fun wardrobe with that money from the money tree in my backyard!

Gah.

It's a blog blast! C'mon, share the hideousness that's in your closet. A winner drawn at random will win a $250 Coach gift certificate! See the link for details on how/what to post.

(Hey! All my plain tee shirts would totally match any new Coach bag!)

Oh, but stripes can backfire!

Fallen-Barbie seems to like 'em, though.

We live in Massachusetts. We're supposed to be boring, wardrobe-wise. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

Oh man, the shoe pile made me twitch. I am way too anal.

Coach bag. I heart them.

I wear only solid color shirts. Boring? Maybe. Easy? You bet.

Beware of stripes.

I don't think your wardrobe was bad! Maybe it's because that's whate I wear, too.

What does it say about me that I have no kids yet I still dress Momish sometimes? And my sister, who has three, is extremely stylish and so NOT Momish?

I go by the idea that everything I buy should go with everything else in my closet. That way I don't have to think when dressing

I know that shoe pile well. If I didn't know better I might have though it was my closet

I actually LOL'ed at the shoe pile. Got one, too! And the plain shirts.... Well, they DO match everything, right?

My closet looks much like yours - but only in that we have the same taste. Mine is much messier. (BTW, I love that you organized your shirts according to color!)

I think we all have the boring, plain shirt problem. Maybe that's a symptom of motherhood!

I have the same problem with my tank tops - - all ribbed, all solid colour.

Meh, who is looking at me anyway?

Also? I cleaned up the shoes in my front closet today and I have an OBSCENE amount of flip flops. It's the saddest shoe fetish around: Compulsive Casual.

I am SOOO jealous of your closet! The last pair of shoes I bought myself was a $4.99 pair of flip flops from Wal-Mart. Thank God the Ryka's are on the way...thanks, friend!

Love it. I would love to enter the contest...and I'm pretty sure I would win. I just don't know if I'm ready to reveal the horror behind my closet door. It's almost like opening Al Capone's vault. God only knows what's buried in there.

Loved the tour of your home! If you wouldn't mind, can you give me any tips on keeping monkeys contained...ooops...I mean occupied with educational stimulation? ;-)
