Because You Know What They Say About Shoe Size...

As you may know, I am a member of the Parent Bloggers Network. One of their upcoming events is the Ryka Campaign Launch. I am lucky to be one of the 40 trying out these new kicks!

Unbeknownst to me, these sneaks run a little on the small side, so the size 7-1/2 ones I received were a little snug. But I just received a spankin' new pair of size 8s!

Sooooo, anyone in the market for a new used 3 times pair of size 7-1/2 Ryka MC2 running sneakers (as shown)???

I'm seriously hoping these sneakers possess some sort of magical power that will enable me to actually complete a 13 mile half marathon without dying walking stopping on October 7th. I'll let you know.

In the meantime, leave me a comment by the end of the day on Tuesday, telling me what sort of magical power you wish the Rykas possess, and I'll pick my fave answer on Wednesday as the winner of the fly footwear! Remember, they're size 7-1/2 and they run a little small.

I wish the Ryka's possessed the magical power to let all women see themselves for what they truly are.

Because, then, Girl, what a world this would be.

I would love a new pair o' spanking new sneaks, but alas, they would be too small for me.

I ran a half-marathon last November, so I know how you're feeling right now! Even up until the day of the race, I was convinced I'd back out at the last minute. But I didn't, and I'm glad. You'll do great, and you'll feel awesome afterwards!

maybe these will inspire me to try and PR for the 5k I'm running in Sept. and actually continue my trainig for my 1/2 mara in Jan - you guys are all very inspiring so I'm hoping your motivation will rub off on me.

I also love new sneakers :)

I want it to work just like Calgon. So that when I have a particularly difficult day with the children, I can say "Ryka take me away" and it like takes me away kinda like "beam me up scotty" except that it brings me to the Las Vegas Venetian Spa and it takes care of the entire tab.

don't enter me in that contest, as I can't wear those very cool shoes, but I wish my shoes all the magical power give me the energy to keep up with my little girl. And avoid dog doo.

I'm loving my Ryka sneakers. But you're right, they do run a bit small. I got a size 9(!) and even my narrow feet felt a bit snug in those huge boats.

I wish they possess the power to morph into a size 9 (for the record, that was a size 8 prior to seven years of teaching and two kids). Damn feet of mine!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have your gently used shoes!

I've been running for about a year and I'm just getting good at it and if I had those fabulous shoes I'm confident I could be good enough to attempt a 13 mile half marathon. If I don't have those shoes I'll just get fat. How's that for a good reason? :)

Seriously, pick me. Please.

I wish that they had the power to give all the benefits of a run without actually going for one...I can't wear them either, size 8.5

I used to run 1/2 marathons all of the time. (I told my cousin I would run one with her in October...but I haven't run more than four miles lately) They're the perfect distance. If you can run 6 miles, you can run 12...and if you can do 12, you've got one more in you! You will feel fantastic when you are finished. I promise!

I wish... your Rykas possessed the magical power of turning into Mongo size 10s...

Hey, thank you for blogrolling me! I'm honored!

Ugh! That minivan is too fast for me! She already said it. Damn my Pinto-like ways.

Friend, I think you should send them to me because you still owe me a new pair of shoes (from years ago at my wedding when you said you would send me some like yours!)! Oh - and as a graduation present, and to help me run after the zoo I'm living in over here. And maybe if I wore them to take my nursing board exam, I would actually pass. ha Any questions???

I stumbled across your blog and read a little, snort laughed (it's a gift), guffawed and then realized I had to read more. I have no kids, work full time but I feel like you are totally someone that I would have TONS in common with.

So if you have a site meter and was wondering what freak of nature from Louisiana has been stalking you for the last few days to read all the back posts, um, I may know her.

The magical power I wish the Rykas would possess is to make the bumps and holes in the ground seem like they are not there and to protect me from falling. It is hard when you can’t see the darn ground!

Have fun with your run!

I JUST bought a pair of 8's yesterday. I am so excited about my new Rykas as well. We will both be MILF's before you know it. I will be posting a little about psycho lady soon!

Let's see... I think the magical power I would ask the Ryka Sneaks to give me is...
Can the produce baby girls? Just wondering. I will wear them while I (ahem...) if you think they could give the "girl" power.
After 3 boys.. a little girl in the brood would be nice to mix things up.
Whata' say Sarah??
And guess what - I just happen to be that perfect size 7/7.5

You go girl. A 1/2 marathon is the perfect distance and the BAA 1/2 is a nice course. My little running group chose the Maine Coast 1/2 Marathon on Sept 23rd. All women and 1 lucky man chosen by lottery. And I am a 9 1/2 in shoes so leave me out of the drawing. Best of luck in your training.
