A Mellow Monday (the afternoon in pictures)

In case you were ever wondering why I often refer to Eldest as "Rainman", here's your answer.

The end result of Rainman's color-coordinated organization.

The three stooges.

Eldest took this. Yep, that'd be moi.

This is what happens when Mommy tries to just sit and relax. The natives start getting restless and look for other ways to have fun. Like stripping.

Heh. I love all of these photos. Esp. the last one. ;)

Boys, regardless of their age, are happiest admiring their cars or letting it all hang out.

That last photo is priceless!

Ha ha ha...my kids are naked all the time it seems. Maybe I should have wine more often so I can have something to blame besides incompetent mothering :-)

What a day!

Are those cars he's lining up? I think that a sign of a very mathematical kid.

Hilarious on the "Rainman" explanation. My son lines his cars up too and has this funny methodical way of analyzing them one by one.

Oh my, your eldest is very much like my eldest. He's now 10. And he's "exceptionally gifted". You've been warned. ;)

Just browsing through a few blogrolls...I love it!

I think I have a little guy here who can TOTALLY relate to the car-sorting thing...except it would have to be trains.

Okay, can I just say that the boy has a crazy amount of cars?

Thanks for sharing the pictures. They are great! Ben's always running around half dressed to.

AWESOME pictures!! Your boys are so adorable. Such handsome lads. Even the butt shot. :)

The Rainman shot... now, that takes patience and concentration. Two virtues that I do not have!

That last picture will be good blackmail material when he gets older!

I love how he is lifting his shirt to give us a better look at the goods...I feel dirty for having written that, particularly if he is going to be my son-in-law. And Rainman? Seriously, he and Briar are kindreds. She wakes up in the night and screams for me. I run, panicked, only to find she is distressed that her pillows are not lined up perfectly. Pass the pinot grigio.

Why must they always resort to nakedness for fun!? It never ends for males!

love the nakes butt!

I also like the cars... my kids do this too - they call it playing Sunday traffic!

I think they call that "Merlot's Law," y'know, like Murphy's Law, except with wine. :)

My kids have just recently figured out how to get their pants and diapers off. Some would use this as a motivation to potty train. Not me. I just change the sheets.

They're precious :-)

oh that is funny, but seriously it makes me feel better with sass's organization things....

Great pictures! Are those little cars? My 6 y.o. son would do something like this. He is the sorter, organizer and the one with toy cars!
As for the little stripper--my daughter, 22 months old, has discovered how to strip. It is just funny. Until she does it in public. Mommyhood--always full of adventures!

I wish we were neighbors. That is my favorite way to spend an afternoon as well. I have missed you my dear.

Too funny! My two year old does that. I didn't know they kept doing it though, until now.

Cute!!

We've called the Big Kid Rainman since he was about 18 months. We also call him Monk or Niles. He's a little..."quirky".

It looks like a nice day (mostly because there was wine involved)

Oh my what cute boys!!!

I have a few rainmen of my own. First my husband, his shirts are all hanging in one direction, grouped by color, and his ties are all hanging by graduated color as well. If he ever goes blind, we're in luck. My younger son is rainman jr.
