And Then?

So the train-clogged toilet has been replaced and is now in our front yard ready for disposal (because we're all kinds of classy like that). Kidding! It's actually in the garage. I'm fully expecting to come home from work today to hear that at least one of the boyz tried to pee in it.

To top that off, Hubby and I entered the Trenches last night discover a non-functioning tv remote. Seems Eldest spilled apple juice on it. And now it doesn't work. But! With 3 4 5 televisions in the house (a slight addiction of my Hubby's--being able to watch some sort of sporting event from any possible angle in any room of the entire house...) a replacement remote was quickly garnered and put to use. But! The remote that is "mysteriously broken for no reason at all" (which is of course what we will be telling the cable company) had the *gasp* DVR buttons on it.

And all this mommy has to say, is that we better get a replacement remote--stat! Because if I miss one episode of this, my life is no longer worth living. Kidding! Sort of.

So a broken toilet and a broken remote so far. And today is only Tuesday.

I've actually cried when a remote was rendered broken.

It may have been more about the crying baby or the piles of laundry or the twenty pounds that I will away on a daily basis, but ultimately, it was the remote that did me in.

Yikes, don't you love when all the crazy shite is all focused at the beginning of the week? It makes one wonder how any shred of sanity exists by Friday...

Is there a full moon or something? Seems we've both had a rough week.

And the remote? May it R.I.P. My condolences.

You and my mom... she absolutely can't miss an episode!

My son would so pee in the toilet regardless of where it was.

Actually he'll pee anywhere. He thinks its really cool. He always asks me if he can go pee outside...even though both toilets are fully functional.

I'm so impressed that you can even find a remote. Maybe all of ours have gone down the toilet like the train!

Boys. They're always breaking and "Trying new things". I just don't get them sometimes. The other day, I told my Hubby that I didn't want to invite the neighbors over for our party because their boys are so...boyish (i.e. destructive). And my husband's reply: Boys will be boys.
Hmph. Jr. Peanut is already on his way to being a destructo.

What a week!

Don't even kid - I have seen people just discard toilets on their front lawns (to be picked up by trash men, I am sure, but still...) and all I can think is, "don't you have a garage/shed/basement to put that until the very last possible minute you need to?

Yep. Boys are terribly destructive. It doesn't get any better as they get older either. I probably shouldn't tell you that a couple weeks ago, Diminutive One carved his name into Husband's solid oak desk. That was not a good day for Diminutive One. Why did he do it? We have no idea, and neither, apparently, does he.

I am the mother of 2 boys (6&8 )and I swear that boys rack up the equivalent of what a wedding costs in things they break during the 18 years they live at home! Good Luck.

I've had TiVo set and ready for Big Brother for over a week now. It makes summer tv bearable.

I agree with Jen. Blame it on the moon!

OMG, that is so funny. I rarely watch TV let alone reality TV but BB is my favorite. I would die if I didn't have my TIVO. I especially do not ever watch TV when it is actually on, most of the time it after a 4:00 am bottle.
