7 (More) Things About Moi

I was tagged by navybluegirl at Like Peas in a Pod for this 7 Things list. Since I just did the Chinese Freeze Tag one, I'm stretching here for yet more wittiness. Bear with me.

1. My new addiction is Sugarfree Red Bull. Where has this been all my life?? I was a Red Bull virgin until Friday when I bought one on the way to NY. Yeah, after pounding a can, I easily could have driven 12 hours. Good stuff. And what? I can mix it with vodka? Sold.

2. I have a cold sore on my lip. So when speaking to me, try not to speak to (a) my lip--which is about ready to have its own zip code or (b) my birthmark. I know it will be a challenge.

3. I know two ladies who are having babies TODAY! Kim at Ed's Girl 4 Life and Jennifer at Playgroups Are No Place For Children. Wow. I'm so glad it's not me. I wish them all the best!

4. I studied abroad in Melbourne Australia during the winter term of my senior year of college. I was there from December 26 until March 17 (summertime in Australia!) It was the best part of my entire college experience. By far.

5. I have 20/200 vision and am as blind as Stevie Wonder (you totally just thought about him with his sunglasses on and moving his head the way he does, didn't you??) without my contacts or glasses. I've had the same pair of glasses since before Eldest was born because I only wear them in bed to read. The first thing I do in the morning is put in my contacts and the last thing I do at night is take them out. No matter how drunk sleepy I got in college, I always managed to take out my contacts before passing out going to bed.

6. I've dated guys with the last names of Pepper and Bean. Apparently I like vegetables. I've also dated guys with the last names of Cook and Pierce. Apparently I also like verbs.

7. Hubby and I gave each other the exact same card before our wedding ceremony. It was destiny. *snort*

I'm tagging whomever hasn't attempted this one yet. Have at it!

I had to laugh at the contacts thing. A college friend of mine was the same way - even after the best night's partying she still managed to remember to take them out - and she'd put them in two glasses, one on the left side of the bed, one on the right so she'd know which was which in the morning lol! I'm still too chicken to poke things in my eyes so I just get cute specs instead!

How'd you know that I always have that vision of stevie in my head every time his name is mentioned!!

I can't do sugar free. I don't like sugar substitutes. And doesn't red bull leave you shaking?

I am currently a Red Bull virgin. I may just have to try some now after your endorsement!! Just what I need, another addiction! I'm a total Diet Cherry Coke addict.

I laughed at the vision thing, too. I just bought a new alarm clock because mine was getting increasingly less reliable. But anyway, when I brought it home, Gavin thought I got him a new clock because the numbers are quite large (hey, it was on sale) and he wanted to trade because he can't read the numbers on his clock without his glasses/contacts. But since his clock doesn't have a radio (and I'm not waking up to that horrible beeping) I told him no. Yes I sound horrible, but I'm the one who wakes up before him!

I tried Red Bull once, you know, so I could be 'peppy'- tasted like crap. IMO.

I used to have 20/1100 vision in my bad eye..20/800 in my "good" eye. No joke. I literally, could not see my hand in front of my face.

I had Lasik in November of 06. It's a friggin miracle. 20/20 in my good eye, 20/25 in what was my bad eye. They said they've seen people with even worse vision get similar results.

I wrote about it if you want to take a peek.

I've had some trouble with post-surgical dryness, (one of the possible risks) but Restasis cleared it right up. I'd much rather put drops in my eyes twice a day than screw around with contacts.

I'm afraid to try Red Bull. I'm already wrestling with a serious caffeine addiction.
