Horsin' Around

Hubby's grandma sent us a Christmas package from Arizona. In it, was a present for the boyz. It was a box containing 3 Christmas ornaments--all of them ceramic rodeo horse ornaments. Hubby (stupidly) presented them to the boyz (at the dinner table) and let them hold (play with) them. In less than 5 minutes, we had a trio of legless horsies. Not a great gift, needless to say. The boyz got frustrated because the horses wouldn't stand up on their own (they were ornaments!) and when they tried to make them "gallop", the (ceramic, remember?) horses immediately BROKE. Baby's ornament eventually (well, basically immediately) transformed into a headless horseman, as he also managed to snap the head off of his rider. I guess that's what is bound to happen when you're 80+ years old and you attempt to buy a joint gift for 3 boyz ages 5 and under...

Needless to say, it was a bad day at the races for those horses. No Kentucky Derby for them.
