I just finished reading Cage of Stars by Jacqueline Mitchard. She also wrote The Deep End of the Ocean that was turned into a movie starring Michelle Pfieffer. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. Her writing reminds me of Jodi Picoult's. The book was about a young Mormon girl (named Ronnie) who witnesses her little sisters' murders. The story is narrated from Ronnie's point of view and details how that particular day affects her entire life going forward.
When I was in Florida (it seems so long ago...boo hoo) I finally read Running With Scissors. What a strange, but oddly compelling, story! I can't even believe that they made this demented book into a movie. I have to see the movie now.
